Going Swimming

Melbourne’s lads of surf-rock Going Swimming have returned with a stellar new single “Debt Collector” and national tour dates.

With a deeply rooted DIY streak, Going Swimming have always self recorded and produced their releases, however with their latest single, the band overturned their self imposed rule, deciding it was about time to bring in an outside touch.

Fresh out of the studio with Rohan Sforcina (Dune Rats, Gold Class) and Ash Briody (Empat Lima, Sugar Fed Leopards), Going Swimming today, unveil their brand new single, “Debt Collector”.

On their debut, Deadtime Stories, released in 2015, Going Swimming delivered blistering and unhinged surf music. “Debt Collector” has them holding onto those surf vibes, however the delivery on this one goes decidedly more rock. Transporting guitar jangles, assertively revved up percussion, boogie-friendly bass breakdowns, topped with disarmingly charming coos, it's hard not to find "Debt Collector" jammed in the brain well after the song has ended.

Vocalist and guitarist, Nick Leggatt explains, “Debt Collector became a running joke after an interview when the person asked, ‘who’s this bloke, your debt collector?’ regarding one of us who wasn’t talking. So, we dedicate this to you, Mr. Interviewer.”
